William Lambert is a registered patent attorney who focuses his practice on patent prosecution and client counseling. He has experience with a broad range of industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, biomedical, mechanical and electrical.

Dr. Lambert’s broad technical background and over 20 years of research and development experience enables him to work with a wide range of technologies, including  pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, polymers, physical chemistry, semiconductor and optoelectronic materials, electronic and photonic devices and fabrication, electronic packaging, telecommunications and manufacturing.

Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Lambert worked as an associate at a Palo Alto law firm where his practice focused on patent prosecution and client counseling including the preparation of validity, infringement and freedom-to-operate opinions. He also worked as patent counsel for a Bay Area pharmaceutical start-up company, where he was responsible for the preparation and prosecution of patents related to small molecules, formulations and medical uses. Dr. Lambert is a co-founder of a start-up electronic packaging company, a named inventor on 11 patents, and an author of more than 50 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. He served as a member of the technical staff in the physical science and materials research division of Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies/AT&T for 17 years.
